BHP studies are mainly carried out at three Clinical Research Sites (CRSs): the Gaborone CRS, Francistown CRS and Molepolole CRS.
Gaborone CRS
Multiple BHP CRS exist in Gaborone. The BHP CTU hosts a group of CRS buildings at which NIH network clinical trials are conducted related to COVID-19 (through the CoVPN and ACTG); treatment of HIV, hepatitis and tuberculosis in adults (ACTG) or in children and pregnant people (IMPAACT); and HIV prevention (HPTN). Multiple non-network investigator-initiated studies are conducted at several additional CRSs in Gaborone.
Francistown CRS
The Francistown Research Site is located at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital, which is the largest hospital in the northern part of Botswana.
Molepolole CRS
Molepolole CRS is located at Scottish Livingstone Hospital (SLH) in Molepolole in the Kweneng Region.
