Dr Simani Gaseitsiwe

Dr. Simani Gaseitsiwe is with Botswana Harvard Health Partnership (BHP) as well as with the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. He is the Botswana Principal Investigator for the H3ABioNet and SANTHE grants. His research focuses on HIV-1 subtype C drug resistance, Hepatitis B Virus and TB molecular epidemiology in Botswana and more recently he is also involved in SARS-CoV-2 molecular epidemiology studies. Simani is responsible for overall supervision of basic science research laboratory, and for guidance and mentorship of research fellows, scientists, and students. He has over 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
